Japanese Language and Culture Program
Kanagawa University offers a short-term intensive language program that is open to individuals from countries around the world. Focusing on Japanese language study, the program’s objective is to improve Japanese proficiency and deepen understanding of both traditional Japanese culture and various aspects of contemporary Japan by taking classes related to Japan, going on fieldtrips and having the opportunity to directly experience the tea ceremony, calligraphy, and so forth. Opportunities to interact with Kanagawa University students have also been incorporated into the program.
Class Levels
- Introductory – Beginner (Upper)
- Beginner (Lower) – Pre-intermediate
- Combined Terms: Beginner (Lower) and Pre-intermediate / Introductory Beginner (Upper)

Costs
RESERVATION (28 days)
- Students without VISA: $300
- Students with VISA: $280
RESERVATION (15 days)
- Students without VISA: $200
- Students with VISA: $180
Important notes
- In case the student fails to obtain a VISA, a refund of 60% will be made (remaining 40% involves administrative expenses).
- In case of obtaining VISA, but not continuing with the process, NO refund will be made.
- UISIL provides a letter duly stamped and signed by the Rectory, along with an agreement we have with Murray State University; to be presented to the Embassy at the time of VISA application.
